Do you want to make a difference to St Peter’s School? If so please read on!

 

At an exciting time for the School, St Peter’s is looking to recruit 3 people to join its governing body.

 

If you have:

 

  • An interest in our children’s future

  • Time, energy & enthusiasm

  • A desire to make a difference

  • Willingness to accept responsibility

  • An ability to work as a team

  • Are happy to ask questions, listen & learn

 

Then you could have what it takes to be part of our team working to achieve the best for our children.

 

Governors are essential to the effective running of the school and it is a rewarding way to make a difference to the lives of our children. We are looking for people to broaden the experience and skill base of the governing body and who can bring objectivity and a fresh pair of eyes to our work.

 

Governors set the overall direction of the school, act as a critical friend and are responsible for the school budget. We work through meetings, Committees and visits to the school. We also receive information and advice to help us in our role and full training is provided. A full role description is available from the school.

 

If you are interested in becoming a Governor please submit in writing or by email an application of no more than 200 words setting out why you think you can make the difference and what skills and experience you can bring to the role.
