  1. To appoint a Town Mayor for the year 2016/2017 and receive declaration of acceptance of office.

    a) To receive any disclosure of pecuniary interest - Members are reminded that they must not participate in the discussion or voting on any matter in which they have
        Disclosable Pecuniary Interest and should leave the room prior to the commencement of the debate.
    b) To consider any applications for Dispensations under s33 of the Localism Act 2011.
    c) Register of interests - To note the need to ensure registers of interest are updated.

  4. Mayor's Address

    To receive an address from Cllr Murray upon his retirement as Mayor

    To receive any resolutions from the Annual Parish Meeting held 17.5.16

  12. Review of Council Regulations and Procedures as per Standing Orders

    To agree to defer a review of the following policies until they have been considered by the Finance and Corporate Governance Committee
    a) Standing Orders and Financial Regulations.
    b) Complaints Procedure.
    c) Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Data Protection Act 1998.

    To approve as a correct record the minutes of Meeting of the Town Council held on 28th April 2016 (copy enclosed).

The Town Council meets on the last Thursday of every month except December at 7.00 p.m at the Roden Suite, Edinburgh House, Wem.
The Town Council meeting starts with Public Question time and residents can attend and raise issues with the members.
A copy of the agenda for these meetings is displayed on the notice board outside the Town Hall, High Street and on this website.
From February 2016 copies of the Agenda and Minutes can also be viewed in the Reference Section at Wem Library.
