Wem
Town Council
Wem
Town Council is committed to improving its facilities for its residents
and visitors. It was recently involved in the Market Towns Initiative
and will continue to work
with others where possible to bring improvements to the town.
The
Town Council plays an active role in the town by supporting local
organisations
with financial contributions when possible. It is strongly supportive
of initiatives for
younger people and Wem Youth Club.
The
Town Council is regularly consulted by other organisations on matters
that effect the town. The Town Council puts forward its views and
observations on these matters on behalf of the local community and
also makes representations on many
issues of concern to the appropriate bodies.
|
The Town Council meets on the last Thursday every month at
7.15 p.m. The Town Council always welcomes
comments and suggestions and has a public question time at
the start of its monthly meetings. If you would like to put
a question to the Council please contact the Town Clerk,
Jane
Drummond, for details.
